Dragonfly Dance

Dancing in the twilight,
My wings shining bright,
Patterned rivulets
Of choice - free will flight.

My spirit soars upward,
A bird of iridescent light,
Sparkling and reflecting,
The essence of life.

Singing in the sunshine,
Tunes unknown and new,
Shifting and aligning
My truth renewed.

My life force rises, moving,
Powerful serpentine wave,
Shakti meeting Shiva,
Igniting union's embrace.

My heart, she bursts open,
Overflow of love sublime,
Giving and receiving,
In a dance - timeless, Divine.

Itty Bitty Stories - Mattie the Mouse

(Thanks for playing, Sera, Sija and Aswathy.)

Kavita:
Once upon a time there was a mouse named Mattie. Mattie lived on the fringes of great adventure and danger. She braved floods, survived the all pervasive stench of her home and battled many a turd to stay alive. And yet she stayed on, the little net at the end of the drain her window to the whole wide world.

Sera:
Many a time she wondered if she should just go with the flow and see where it would take her-to new shores perhaps? But she was so used to the familiar and so continued to live in her drain despite the floods and stench! She just stood at the net and looked at the outside world.

Sija:
One day, while standing there, she mustered up her courage and squeezed her way through the net and lo and behold, she saw the vast expanse of the sea. The smell of the dirty water pouring out of the drain and the smell of salt water and sea gulls filled the air.

Aswathy:
Mattie took it all in and felt torn. Should she try to squeeze back in through the net to all that was dank and familiar or should she bask in the sunlight and start looking around for a snack? Her rumbling tummy led the way and she scurried around poking her nose into the drying detritus of the city that flowed out from the drain. In that moment a seagull swooped down and Mattie went soaring through the sky.
