A Brush with Winter

The Ice Queen's fingers touch her,
A shiver runs down her spine,
Winter's breath upon her,
Will she succumb to the lie?

Or will she keep looking
For sunlight on morning dew,
Magic in mundane moments,
Miracles in every shade and hue?

Deep within this barren land,
Winter knows the ice will thaw,
For Spring will arrive in perfect time
To melt the darkness with her song.

A song of love and wonder,
A dance of joy and pain,
The horizon ablaze with colour
As she spreads her wings again.

Dandelion Wishes

Dandelion wishes on a fair winter's day,
Take me on a journey to a land far away.
A whisper, a promise, a breath of fresh air;
I come home to myself, ready to face today.

The Shadow of Tomorrow

Shadows of tomorrow crowd her mind,
Shutting her within a prison of a kind,
Yet all is not lost, as the light filters through
The cracks in her heart as she navigates blind.

Vignettes

In that moment between truth and fiction, the moon turned red, day turned into night, and time stood still. Later, she remembers blue skies, purple blooms, and a heart full of love. As for him, time stopped that day, a knife to his heart—a heart full of love.

*******
Just for a moment, the world held its breath—watching, waiting. Would they? Wouldn't they? The moment passed, time moved on, but the moon, she remembered—remembered a moment when two worlds collided, paused, then passed each other by.

*******
The highway winds on endlessly, a road well travelled, a road that's both familiar and comfortable. She's seen it all or so she thinks. For hidden in plain sight, just off the path, lies a field of sunflowers. Every time she passes by, they wonder if she will notice them. And if she does, will she stop and join them in their dance, or will she choose the familiar highway yet again?

*******
The sounds of the city fade into the background as she steps out to greet the sun. He responds, glinting through the leaves, bathing her face in his gentle glow. Their sole witness—the lone kite circling gracefully above.

*******
A single white feather floats gently through the air, landing with grace on her open palm. The whisper of a promise made echoes around her. She looks up—tentatively, hopefully. Her eyes light up as her heart explodes with a love beyond compare. She holds out the feather as he reaches for her, a memento of a promise made—a promise kept.

I Am

I am the world, and yet it barely knows me.
I am the sun, the moon, the stars, all at once.
I am the love that greets you every morning.
When day is done, you'll find me in your heart.

Sunset

As twilight fades into the night
And midnight's breath descends,
Creation rests, releases distress,
When day breaks—All is blessed.

She Awakes

She awakes to the calling,
She rises from within,
A song of light and darkness,
Shedding original sin.

Sunrise

From deep within the abyss—It rises,
The flame of truth—rising, rising, rising
From the ashes of a long-forgotten dream,
Whispering my name,
Calling me home.

Black Bird

Black Bird breaks free of her gilded cage,
No longer shackled by invisible chains,
Into the unknown, somehow unscathed,
A new chapter unfolds—her true nature awaits.

Transcending Clouds

I wake to bursts of
Sunshine,
Then meet with clouds—
Not mine,
I dance around them,
Feel their claws,
Oppressive, dense,
Misaligned.

I step out of the fog
And haze,
Feel the wind against
My back,
A dahlia—orange,
Meets my gaze,
In nature I
Relax.

I allow the sun to
Seep in,
I release the coils
That hold,
A little butterfly
Weaves a spell,
Orange, black
And gold.

Moments of magic
Surround me,
The Nilgiri Thrush
Agrees,
The hummingbird
Sings a song
Of joy—beautiful
Melody.

I walk back in
Uplifted,
The clouds emerge—
Not mine,
This time I let them
Pass me by,
Allowing my light
To shine.

Painting Sunsets

We're painting sunsets—
You and I,
Writing a new book,
No more goodbyes.

We're grounding our dreams,
Our lives in alignment,
Connected, at peace.

Oceans in the Sky

If stars hold secrets,
The sun—truth and life,
Then who is to say
There are no whales
In the oceans
Of the sky.

Inner Light

At the centre
Of the storm,
A place of light,
A place of quiet,
The inner sanctum,
Your inner light.

The Unfurling

Teardrops on eyelashes
As feeling returns,
Lifeblood pulsating
As true essence unfurls.

Under the Sun

We walk as one,
Under the sun,
Hand in hand,
Shining bright,
Together,
Entwined,
Radiating light,
Hand in hand,
Under the sun,
We rise as one.

Rebirth of the Dream

The winds of change
Are sweeping through,
Altering lanscapes
Both old and new,
Clearing away debris,
Planting new seeds,
Birth of a sacred dawn,
Rebirth of the dream.

Never Alone

On the breath of a prayer,
On the wings of love,
I am with you always,
Within you,
Around you,
Never alone—beloved.

Embers Rekindled

Deep in the forest
A weary soul lies,
Alone, broken,
Nobody's child.

As tears touch earth,
Connection is made,
Blessings of light
Warm parts decayed.

Deep in the heart
Of a soul revived,
Heaven meets earth,
Love comes to life.
